There was a season in my life when everything appeared fine on the outside, but behind closed doors, I was fighting for my life. I was carrying heartbreak, disappointment, fear, uncertainty, and wounds that ran deeper than anyone could see. I felt alone, forgotten, and so completely broken that I began to wonder whether there was anything of value left in me—anything strong, anything usable, anything worth rebuilding.
Every disappointment seemed to take a piece of me. Heartbreak took a piece. Betrayal took a piece. Rejection took a piece. Fear took a piece. Little by little, I wondered if there would be enough of me left to put back together.
I underestimated the value of strong until strong was all that I had left.
But what I did not understand then was that my strength was not found in having all the answers or in pretending that I was not hurting. My strength was in my faith—in continuing to reach for God when I felt as though I had nothing else to hold on to.
Then, at one of the lowest points of my life, God met me in my brokenness. His visitation changed the direction of my life forever. He reminded me that I was still His, that I was still loved, and that what had been broken was not beyond His ability to restore. He began healing the places within me that life had wounded, rebuilding my faith, restoring my sense of identity, and showing me that my story was not over.
Looking back now, I realize God wasn’t simply restoring what had been broken. He was transforming me into the woman He had always created me to be.
God was not only healing my heart—He was revealing my strength, restoring my life, and preparing me for my purpose.
The SheAttitudes®
Out of that journey came The She-Attitudes©—ten affirmations that became a source of strength, encouragement, and hope. What began as personal reminders of who God said I was eventually grew into a platform created to inspire, empower, and uplift others.
Through every setback, every season of waiting, every rejection, and every challenge I faced, God continued to prove Himself faithful. He reminded me that I belonged to Him, that I was worthy of His love, His promises, and His blessings. Even when life tried to convince me otherwise, His voice remained constant, reassuring me that my future was still in His hands.
The Hardest Part of the WAIT is the Weight
Those experiences inspired my first book, The Hardest Part of the WAIT is the Weight—a message of hope for anyone learning to trust God while waiting for His promises to unfold. I wrote this book for every person who has ever wondered if God had forgotten them, questioned His timing, or struggled to hold onto hope in the waiting. It is a reminder that God is always working—even when we cannot yet see what He is doing.
Anatomy Apparel™
My journey also led to the creation of Anatomy Apparel™, a faith-based menswear brand inspired by Philippians 2:5: “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” More than clothing, the brand is built on the belief that true transformation begins within—a life shaped by faith, character, conviction, and the Mind of Christ.
My Mission
So today, my mission is to help others reconstruct the fragments of their lives and to encourage them to trust God through every season, embrace who He created them to be, and discover purpose even in life’s most difficult moments.
And if my story proves anything, it is this:
God can take every fragment of your life and create something beautiful from it. What once felt like broken pieces became the foundation for everything He was building.
Every setback, every season of waiting, every disappointment, and every unanswered prayer was part of a greater story that only God could see.
Today, I am grateful for every chapter because each one led me closer to my purpose.
